Community Engagement Activities
At PUC, we are cognisant of the importance of
building deeper, stronger and more trusting
relationships between the Corporation and our
communities. In this regard, awareness or
community engagement activities are organised
periodically or upon request, so as to strengthen
our rapport with external stakeholders.
These activities allow participants to:
Educational Visits
Visits at PUC are targeted mainly at school children ranging from primary to post secondary
educational institutions. The guided tours around some of our facilities offer participants the
opportunity to view first-hand, the inner workings of our power stations, renewable energy
infrastructures, dams, water as well as wastewater treatment facilities. On average, PUC
welcomes over 500 school children to its facilities annually.
Empowering Our Youths
When the youths are empowered, so are
their families and communities. The
Corporation supports skills development
programmes by facilitating work placement
opportunities and conducting awareness
sessions for secondary and post-
secondary school students upon request,
with the aim of exposing them to real work
experiences so that they may develop a
good knowledge and understanding of the
jobs within PUC. This, coupled with our
inputs in validation of programmes for
post-secondary educational institutions,
reaffirm our commitment towards nurturing
a reliable supply of skilled workforce. We
take pride in contributing towards the
success of our future generations.
Promoting Responsible Consumption
We encourage responsible consumption for a sustainable future. We believe that energy and water
conservation should be everybody’s business. Change can only be achieved through our concerted
efforts. Let’s accelerate this change and bring about resilience by making responsible consumption a
part of our daily lives. For more information about energy and water conservation, click here.
Community Engagement Activities
Our teams do their utmost to make members of the public feel at ease at activities we host
or participate in – be it through our sensitisation and recruitment fairs, open days or school-
based programmes. We value their feedbacks, participation and suggestions.
